Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) is the engineering school of Technical University of Lisbon (UTL), a Portuguese public university, composed of two campuses — Alameda and Tagus Park —, offering 21 courses to a total of 8900 students.

Holding teaching positions since 1998, I am currently Assistant Professor at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC) since January 2008. Recent courses taught:

Institute for Systems and Robotics – Lisboa (ISR-Lisboa) is a university based R&D institution where multidisciplinary advanced research activities are developed in the areas of Robotics and Information Processing, including Systems and Control Theory, Signal Processing, Computer Vision, Optimization, AI and Intelligent Systems, Biomedical Engineering. Applications include Autonomous Ocean Robotics, Search and Rescue, Mobile Communications, Multimedia, Satellite Formation, Robotic Aids.

I started as a collaborator at ISR during my graduation, in 1995, being a member since 1998, and a member of the Scientific Council since 2008.
